|SUN, I love you
1 more class!!!
Then 2 tests next week and I am DONE!
I cannot believe that in 10 days I will be on my way to Austrailia for 3 weeks!!! YAY.
For now, all I ask is that this fog goes away again so it can be in the 90's once more. The sun was glorious and I want it back. I never knew I would be able to say that I sunbathed inside my apartment, but I'd like ot be able to do it again :) (I have a large window that opens w/ no screen. Since it faces the beach, plenty of sun comes in so I just layed on the floor.) Current Mood: cheerful

|unclaimed property site
The coolest site ever. Well, not really, but I recommend you take a look. Search anyone you know that lives in CA and might have unclaimed property. I already informed a few people I know that they have money they can claim.
I found someone named John Minotti is RP who can get $14,000. Wish it was my mom :)http://scoweb.sco.ca.gov/Ucp/Default.aspx
YAY FOR SPRING BREAK!!!

Tomorrow, I will be finished with Finance FOREVER!!!!!
Well, at least until I go for an MBA and am forced to take it again :)
I can't believe the semester is almost over. 4 more days of classes and then a few finals and I will only have 3 more semesters of college to go. WOW.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!!!
Hope you had a better day than me, and I mean an exponentially better day!
|AHHHHHH, what a great Friday :(
Just had to let that out.
Thursday's at work, I sit at the reception desk from 8:30-10:00. I have to answer the phone, so I rarely leave except to quickly run down the hall or get something from the printer.
Well, I leave my purse under my desk because why not right? I am on my way out for lunch at noon and realize in the elevator that my purse feels light and my wallet is missing. I go back up thinking it fell out on the ground. No wallet on the ground. AND I realize my iPod used to be in there too. Hmmm...is someone playing a joke on me? NO. Someone managed to come into our office, dig through my purse, and steal my wallet and iPod (thank goodness they left my cell phone, keys, and USF ID card/my bus pass.) They had to have done it fast because I was never away for more than 1 minute, and I know that it couldn't have been an inside job. It is so bizzarre because our office building is nice, and you wouldn't expect it. I also signed for all deliveries that came in. I guess one of those delivery men could have come back in or something, I don't know. Not only is an iPod pretty expensive, but the wallet is what bothers me most. There were so many things in there, including my license (which costs $30 to get a new one), credit cards, debit cards, insurance card, only $30 cash I think, etc. Of course cancelling everything included hours on the phone on hold, which is always fun.
They only bought 2 $20 Bart tickets with my credit card, which is interesting seeing as I think they had at least 2.5 hours to act. I hope that does not mean they just want my identity becaues they have a lot on me now. Damn You Thieves. Current Mood: crappy

|Sweep the Twins
OK, so I decided that I do not have to root for the A's to lose Friday because I will get to go to a game next week if they don't end up needing to play on Saturday.
Please sweep the Twins.
Holy Crap, KOTSAY just hit an in the park Home Run!!!!! We are up by 2. Go A's! The Twins suck.
I have a good feeling that I will indeed be at a baseball game on Saturday.

|I'm back...for today anyway
It's been a few months. I made my way back here today because I am in the Napa office alone this week and it can be quite boring at times. Nothing like getting paid to update my live journal though!
The get together at Rose's was fun. Since Alex isn't home to have a party and I rarely seem to organize something, it was good seeing people. Plus, Teresa and I kicked some Ass playing Texas Holdem. haha, I wish we put real money in.
Nothing much new, just keeping busy with work. I live in Rohnert Park, work in Napa Mon-Wed, then live and work in SF Th-Fri. The only thing that makes the Napa drive is this freaking million degree weather since my car's air conditioning doesn't work. I am shopping for a new car though. I want the shortest (length) and most fuel efficient thing I can get. Mini, Yaris, Focus, Matrix, etc are on my list of possibilities. I just need time to make it to the dealerships.
Please cool down a little bit. I usually seem to be cold blooded, but not cold enough to like this weather. Damn global warming.

1 more final tomorrow morning and it is summer. It is an easy one too. I have today off and am pretty bored, though enjoying it.
Rachel and I went to some apartments on Monday, so hopefully we are pretty much done searching.
I did get the internship, so that is good except for the fact that I will not have Fridays off anymore. :( I start in mid June, so hopefully I have a place to live and easy downtown bus access because I don't want to comute two days a week all summer and waste half of what I am getting paid on parking. I get a whopping $150 a month. It is for the experience and I am only going to be there 1.5 days a week at the most.
I'm pissed because I just found out that I no longer have the huge scholarship I thought I'd have all four years. Aparently it was somewhat need based and now that my brother is out of college, they expect us to pay $30,000 a year instead of $17,000. Part of the reason I came her was because they gave me a lot of money and now it is down to $5000 a year. Damn them, this is not good at all. Hopefully when my mom reviews the Fafsa, she will find an error and I will get more.
I can't wait to move out of this place!
Can anyone tell me why the heck someone would wake up at 7:30 to go running, then take a nap at 12:45??? Why don't you just wake up later and run instead of taking a nap? Please get me out of here, I'm sick of it.

I HAVE NO MORE CLASSES UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST!!!
Only 2 finals next week, so I am pretty much done with the semester. Gotta love the summer!
Had an interview today for an internship. It went well, so I am crossing my fingers. I would work 2 days a week until December. It is at Timmons Design Engineers which is basically a startup in downtown SF that designs Green, sustainable buildings. I'd do basic things like filing as well as budgeting, spreadsheets, modifying forms, etc. Sounds like a good opportunity in a friendly atmosphere and what better location than right by the Nordstrom mall and a few blocks from Union Square? haha
I hate property managers. The stupid apartment guys had yet to contact me, so I finally got a hold of his son (I believe). He told me the place is already rented. Why couldn't they have told me that when they chose a tenant??? I hate the apartment searching process. I'm just glad that Rachel graduates this week and will be home on Sunday so I don't have to look by myself. Hopefully we find something good and affordable.
I'm happy for summer. Today, I start relaxing (until next week anyway). Just need to pack up a few things to take home. Current Mood: hopeful

|2 down, 2 to go
I am officially FINISHED with Accounting II and Women's Literature!!!
Only 2 more classes to go! Last classes tomorrow, then a final on Tuesday and Thursday.
I'm so happy for it to be Summer. I will finally have some time and be able to get away from my roomate once and for all. Still have to look for an apartment though, because the guy never got back to us.
Portland was fun. Flying back at 6:05 AM yesterday was not too great, but I had a good time while up there. Friday, it was in the 80's and we went on a jet boat tour on the Willamette River. It was great fun, but the nexts days it wasn't too nice out. It even poured at my brother's commencement.
I'm going to the Giants game on Thursday because my ride home for the weekend is going. Looking forward to it. Babysitting on Saturday, but not many other plans for the weekend. I don't really need to study much for my 2 finals, so I should enjoy the time at home.
Can't wait to move out of the dorms FOREVER!!! Current Mood: happy
|Thursday, May 4th, 2006|
In less than 7 hours, I will be finished with classes for the week, actually 2 of them for the semester (besides the final/turning in a paper) AND I will be on a plane to Portland!
Horray! I can't wait to be in Portland.
I'm going to have fun, see relatives from IN and NJ, and see my brother graduate. Wow graduation?!? That sure came fast. I can't believe I am almost a junior too.
Time flys! Hope this weekend goes slow though, then time can speed up again for the last classes and finals.
Summer is so close.

I am writing to admit...I have a serious addiction.
If only I weren't so competative. Since there is a timer, I am constantly trying to beat my times.

|Cross your fingers
So I found the perfect apartment. Turned in an application yesterday, now all I can do is pray that we will get it.
It is on 34th near Irving (2 blocks from Golden Gate Park) It has brand new carpet, bathtub/shower, paint, and nice appliances. Plus, it is pretty big, parking seems easy, and its $1350/month (not bad for the city). I'm excited! But extremely nervous and anxious right now because I really want it and dont know how many applicants they have to chose from. Please pick me and Rachel!!!
|Saturday, April 22nd, 2006|
So I am off to view another apartment in 15 minutes. The guy I talked to basically forced me to look at another one he has avaialable, so I have to go to 2, but only have public transportation to get around. I told him that, so he said he could drive me to the second one.
Now, I've tried calling him to tell him I don't want to look at the other one, but he doesn't answer and his message box is now full. hmmm..I'm a little suspicious, but since I have an appointment I better show up. I will attempt to take the bus to the second one because I don't really want to get in a car wiht a stranger. Anyway, I am telling you this so that you can do something if I never return. haha, his name is David. His cell and craigslist posting are on my computer.
Bye...wish me luck.

I decided I just had to post something because I just discovered how many new features this thing has. Now I am able to use photos I've taken as my icons! Always before, my pictures were way too big to use. This is exciting. haha
